Thomson Perrett has been awarded the Outstanding Sustainable Landscape in the ConnectEast Architectural & Design Excellence in the South East Awards.
The Jury commended Thomson Perrett on “the innovative approach to site planning and development to accommodate use and care for habitat and biodiversity- from conservation through to revegetation using local provenance seed stock harvested from burning, through to a site-based nursery”. The jury was excited by this major project which retains and celebrates the site’s stunning natural beauty.
The National Golf Club development has converted degraded pasture into two golf courses and a sustainable indigenous grassland and shrubland.
Thomson Perrett Principal Ross Perrett is “excited that the sustainable benefits of golf courses and their contribution to the environment and community are being recognised. This demonstrates the potential for retrofitting courses and future developments”.
The award is fitting recognition for the achievements of The National Club of which Thomson Perrett is privileged to part of.
